As per Puranas, the universe is classified into 3 planetary regions of 14 planetary systems.
The 3 planetary regions are
(1) Svar or Swargga or Heaven (6 upper regions)
(2) Prithvi or Earth ( 1 middle region)
(3) Pathala or Hell ( 7 lower regions)
