Can science ever discover ultimate truth? అసాధ్యం. ప్రతివ్యక్తి ఆలోచనా ఆకాశంలో ఒక కాంతి కిరణం. ప్రతి వ్యక్తి ఆలోచనా సరళి (line of thinking) ఒక సరళ రేఖ. ఎన్ని రేఖలు గీసినా అవి ఆకాశాన్ని ఎప్పటికీ నింపలేవు. గణితంలో ఇది ఎన్ని సంఖ్యలున్నాయనే ప్రశ్నకు వస్తుంది. 1,2, 3, ఇల్లా లెక్కపెడుతోనే ఉండవచ్చు, అప్పుడే అనంతం వస్తుంది.1, 2 మధ్య ఎన్ని ఉన్నాయి? 1, 1.1, 1.2, .. 1.01, 1.02, అనంతకోటి అనంతాలున్నయి. uncountably infinite ప్రతి శాస్త్రమూ కూడా అంతే. ఆలోచనలూ అంతే. విష్ణువు సహస్రనామాలు అంతే. సహస్రము అంటే అనంతమనే అర్థంలోనే మన వాళ్ళు వాడతారు. ప్రతినామమూ వేరు. సహస్రకోటి నామాలు చెప్పినా విష్ణుతత్త్వ వ్యాప్తికి సరిరావు. మన భాషలకు శక్తి చాలదు. మన బుద్ధికి పరిమితి చాలదు. ఆలోచన అంటే ప్రశ్నించే శక్తి. ప్రశ్నలే జ్ఞానం. సమాధానాలు అసత్యం.ఇది అవగతమైతే శాంతి. ఇదేధ్యానం.ఇదే చిత్తవృత్తి నిరోధం. దీనినే జిడ్డు కృష్ణమూర్తి "Truth is a pathless land" అన్నారు.

కులాంతర వివాహాలు మంచివా? కావా? అనే ప్రశ్న అర్థంలేనిది. కులాలు వచ్చినప్పటినుండీ కులాంతరాలూ ఉన్నాయి. లేకపోతే ధర్మ శాస్త్రాలలో అనులోమ, విలోమ వివాహాల ప్రసక్తే వచ్చేది కాదు.కౌరవులు యాదవులను ఎందుకు తక్కువగా పరిగణించే వారు? యాదవులు యయాతి కుమారుడు యదువు వంశీయులు. కౌరవులు ఇంకొక కుమారుడు పురు వంశీయులు. యదువు క్షత్రియరాజు బ్రాహ్మణ భార్య దేవయాని కుమారుడు. పురు మహారాజు క్షత్రియభార్య శర్మిష్ఠ కుమారుడు. అందుచేత సుక్షత్రియుడు. విలోమ వివాహము కావడం వలన యదువు బ్రాహ్మణుడు, క్షత్రియుడు కాక సూతుడు అయ్యాడు. నేటి సుప్రీం కోర్టు తండ్రికులమే కులాంతరములో పిల్లలకు వస్తుందని తీర్పు ఇచ్చింది.ఆనాటి నిర్ణయం వేరు. కులాంతరం చేసుకుంటే పిల్లలకు సంఘం దృష్టిలో ఏ కులమూ ఉండదని అర్థం చేసుకోవాలి. మతాంతరంలో సమస్యలేదు. హిందువు మతం మార్చుకుంటాడు. అప్పుడు ఇతరులకు అది మతాంతరమే కాదు.

Language problem after independence

A series of blunders were committed wrt language problem after independence. Under British rule with English was official language and the regional languages flourished over vaster regions. Hindustani was sort of reasonably well known through out most of India Pak Bangla Deccan . With the introduction of Hindi as national language, formation of linguistic states and 3-language formula --- Sanskrit the real link from ancient times was killed, Bi- and Multi-lingual states (Madras Tamil and Telugu) (Bombay - Marathi, Guajarati, Kannada) Hyderabad (Telugu, Urdu, Marathi, Kannada) Orissa (Oriya and Telugu) Mysore ( Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Konakani, Tulu) were broken down and the wider area of each language is compressed . With urbanization metro cities have become multi-lingual. Even now if we revert to English as official language and one or two other (with a wider choice than one language per state) is taught to children regional languages can be saved.

Gopala Krishna Rao Pantula వంటివారి “ అన్నిటికీ ఆంగ్లేయులను ఆడిపోసుకోనక్కర లేదు. ఆత్మవిషయంలో మనవాళ్ళకి రక రకాల అభిప్రాయాలు .పిల్లలు పిండాలు పెట్టక పోతే తల్లిదండ్రుల ఆత్మలు క్షోభిస్తాయనడం పున్నామ నరకాలూ -ఇవన్నీ ఏమిటి?ఆత్మ శాంతించడం ఉండక పోతే క్షోభించడం కాని నరకం అనుభవించడం కాని ఎలా ఉంటాయి?” ...వంటి ప్రశ్నలు RIP వంటి క్రైస్తవ దీవెనల సమర్థన వస్తాయి.
ఆత్మ వస్తువు ఒకటే. అదే పర బ్రహ్మము, సృష్టిలో అదే పరమాత్మగా విశ్వవ్యాపి అయింది. ఇక మనిషిలో జీవుడు, సహజంగా పరమాత్మ వస్తువు, దేహాత్మ భావన అనేఅజ్ఞానంలో ఉంటాడు. దానివలన దేహసంబధమైన వాసనలు మరణానంతరము జివుని అచ్చాదించి ఉంటాయి. మరణ బాధ అనుభవించిన జీవుడు దహన జనిత తాపముతో, ఆర్తితో పితృలోకం వైపు ప్రయణంచేస్తుంది. దానికి మరణానంతరం జరిపే కర్మ కాండలు. కాలంలో ఈ బంధం నశించిపోతుంది.పునర్జన్మ కర్మ ఫలంగా వస్తుంది. గరుడ పురాణము వంటి గ్రంథాలలో ఈ లోకాల వర్ణనలు ఉంటాయి. RIP వేరు. అకడ ఈ వ్యధలతో కూడిన జీవుడు సమాధిలో శవపేటికలో judgment dayవరకు బంధింపబడిఉంటాడు. తరువాత శాశ్వత నరకమో స్వర్గమో లభిస్తుంది. మన స్వర్గ నరకాలు జీవుని ప్రయాణంలో transit halts. మన జీవుల ప్రయాణం వేరు, అబ్రహామిక్ మతాలవారి అభిప్రాయాలు వేరు. RIP సమాధి చెరసాలలో బంధింపబడిన జీవులకు దీవెన. శ్రాద్ధ కర్మలు గతిలోని జీవులకు సద్గతి కలిగిస్తాయి.

ధర్మమనేద్దాన్ని నిర్వచించడం కష్టం. మీరు ప్రయత్నించారు. సంతోషం. అది చాలా విశాలమైనది, సూక్ష్మమయినది కూడా. గీతలో చెప్పిన స్వధర్మానికి పుట్టుకతో వచ్చిన కులమనే పేరుతో నేడు చలామణీలో ఉన్న గుర్తింపు చీటీకి సంబంధమేలేదు. పుట్టుకతో వచ్చిన కులవృత్తిలో ఉండటానికి, లేక పోవడానికి ఒక వ్యక్తి స్వధర్మానికీ సంబంధంలేదు. నా స్వధర్మమంటే నాకు ఎదురైన సందర్భంలో, నేను ఉన్న పరిస్థితిలో, నేను ఆచరించవలసిన కర్తవ్యం. ఒక ప్రభుత్వోద్యోగి లంచం తీసుకుంటే అది అధర్మం. తానుచేయాల్సిన పని భక్తి శ్రద్ధలతో చేయడం అది ధర్మం. ఎవరికీ కావాలని అన్యాయంచేయకపోవడం ధర్మం.హత్య అధర్మం. యుద్ధభూమిలోనో,ఒక రక్షణ వ్యవస్థలోనో చొరబడినవారిని కాల్చి చంపడం స్వధర్మం.ఇది హిందువులకో భారతీయులకో స్త్రీలకో వర్తించేది కాదు. విశ్వవ్యాప్తమైనది. Taking appropriate action, saying an appropriate word, behaving in appropriate way by one at a particular time and place and in a given situation is dharma అందుకే ధర్మ సూక్ష్మం తెలియాలి అంటారు.

Hindu is a Persian term for the Sindhu, the celebrated river of North West India and the present Pakistan. Sanskrit dictionaries do not usually define the term Hindu. Hindu appears to be the term referred to the native residents of India by invaders coming via North West, through the Khyber and Bolan Passes in the Himalayas. The first major geographical feature identified by them was the Indus River known locally as Sindhu, which might have become the Hindu in Persian. Only Vacaspatyam has an entry saying this पश्चिमाम्नायमन्त्रास्तु प्रोक्ताः पारखभाषया । Vacaspatyam also identifies Hindus as a separate race (जातिभेदे). Nevertheless there was a Sanskrit derivation referred to as हीनञ्च दूषयत्येव हिन्दुरित्युच्यते (meaning “One who censures baseness and meanness is said to be a Hindu) This definition is from a much later Tantra text called “Meru Tantra”.
The traditional identity of Indians is Sanatana Dharma, a way of life which evolved over many eras. It means - 1 Perpetual, constant, eternal, permanent; एष धर्मः सनातनः. — 2 Firm, fixed, settled; एष धर्मः सनातनः The invasions of Muslim rulers from the North West, arrival of Christian missionaries initially by land route and later by sea after Vasco da Gama’s successful effort Christianity made inroads into India. Except for some initial settlers from outside, most of the adherents of these religions in India today are originally from the Hindu stock. The land was called Hindustan or Hindu Desa. The concept of an organized religion, with socio-political organizational structures arrived in India only through these Middle Eastern religions. When their groups became significant in numbers religion had become a label which was required of Indian population. All others other than Muslims and Christians automatically became Hindus. Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism being classed as separate religions is not correct in the framework of Sanatana Dharma, they are darsanas or panthas – subreligions of the Sanatana Complex.
An artificial title Hinduism has been arrived at and modern scholars like Wendy Doniger start writing books such as “Hindus: An alternate history”. The correct title that can be given by a true Hindu for the same book is “A history of some Hindus”. Doniger has an interesting sentence which also shows her ignorance. She asked an Indian “What is he? He did not say “I am a Hindu”. To her surprise he said “I am a Golkonda Vyapari”. She does not know that no Hindu describes himself as a Hindu. He might say – I am an Andhra, or a Telanganite, or I am a Telugu 6000 Niyogi Brahmin.
Recently Karnataka government conducted a door to door religious survey of citizens. The teacher who was assigned this task was a Muslim lady. She asked me “What is your religion?” I said “Hindu”. She asked “What is your caste?” “Brahmin” was my reply. She asked “subcaste?” I said “Niyogi”. “We do not have that” she said. “Then what do you have?”I asked – Her reply was interesting “Brahmin-Christian” I was shocked I asked her “show your list” She showed divisions such as smartha, madhva, vishnava, lingayata along with the first one. Then I said you put mine as smartha, which we normally do not use in AP as most of us are smarthas anyway. In fact I belong to areligion called Sankaradvaita which is one of the many Hindu religions. The CPI (M) secretary Sitaram Yechury might say I am a Telugu Vaidiki, smartha, atheist, Marxist Hindu. Hinduism can be described, it cannot be defined.

Dr. Kandukuri Sivananda Murty (1928-2015) is one of the great contemporary spiritual masters in the Guru tradition. The tradition traces its origins to Dakshinamurty, Sage Dattatreya, Maharshi Veda Vyasa, Bhagavan Sri Krishna and Sage Maitreya of Puranic times spanning to Acarya Sankara and Maharshi Ramana in modern times. Sanatana dharma is the gift of the great sages of yore to this country of Bharat. Guruji documented the lives and works of many such sages compiled from many Puranas in his two-volume “Maharshula Charitralu” in Telugu. Sivananda Murty is a complete Yogi and his unique elucidation of Kathopanishad, in his book Katha Yoga, received accolades from Jagadguru Bharati Tirtha Mahaswami of Sringeri. This Upanishad records the remarkable event of a boy Nachiketa, going to the realm of Lord Yama, the god of death and receiving instruction from him regarding what happens to human beings after death. In his “Structure of the Universe – Vedic Viswaroopa” Dr Sivananda Murty, describes the Vedic conception of Brahmanda and its fourteen lokas in a manner appealing to the modern scientific mind. The locations of several lokas such as the Yamaloka, Pitruloka, and many such realms nearer to earth have been identified on the basis of Vedic hymns.
For over three decades the author has been talking about the uniqueness of the life and teachings of Sri Krishna, a historical person, who walked on this earth some five thousand years ago. While we can easily find from Puranas the history of Sri Krishna, the real issues to be explored are the nature, the personality and the contributions of Sri Krishna, who was hailed by Vyasa as “bhagavaan svayam”. Understanding Sri Krishna is important for Indians today, as he redefined Sanatana Arsha-dharma appropriate for the present age. His is the final word in its history. He is the foundation of the future edifice of Aryan culture, the glory of which will be apparent only when Sri Krishna is understood properly. In this book, the multi-faced personality of Sri Krishna comes out in a manner the readers have not experienced before, while reading the Bhagavata Purana or the Mahabharata separately. Krishna’s descent from his abode Goloka, his incarnation, his playful acts (leelas) when he was young, his Maha Vishnu aspect, the true nature of Radha and Krishna (Radha-Krishna tattva), his magnum opus, the Bhagavad Gita, his role as a world teacher (jagadguru), his achievements of as a yogi, his interactions with common cowherd folks, friends such as Kucela, teachers such as Sandipani, sages such as Narada, Durvasa and Maitreya, Jaina Tirthankara Arishtanemi, and his role in the Mahabharata war up to his final departure have all been interpreted in a manner such as to provide his Viswaroopa and his relevance to contemporary India. For the discerning reader the monograph is an exposition of yoga in the characters of Sri Krishna and his brother Balarama who together incarnated on this earth to establish the path of yoga in lieu of yaaga in the present age of Kali Yuga.
