Is such an effort worthwhile and can its relevance for today's needs be established by you?
How many can take this question?

Marella Nagaraju Yes Professor, Hinduism is not a religion. It is the way of life. It encompasses everything you spoke of. Unfortunately it is heart breaking to see modern generation thinks that it is waste of precious time to go deep into such subjects. how to convince this poor fellows that it is a treasureVvs Sarma Hinduism is said to be a way of life. It is still a religion to be followed. Today many are living who fill the column religion in a form as Hindu, without knowing either the way of life or the dos and don'ts as a religion. The problem is that of our constitution which does not allow majority religious education while encouraging minority religious education. A Muslim or Christian learns his religion even in a school or college. They participate in congregational worship. On the other hand a Hindu has no concept of a Hindu society or his role in the political system.Marella Nagaraju yes you have a point. but it is we the parents to be blamed. why should we find faults with others. after getting married every couple dream about their children and they start planning to join them in the best school which might be managed by missionary or any M.N.C where they teach only in English and the parents want their 3 year old cute child should call them daddy and mummy only. they do not hear them calling in their mother tongue. what a pity. they don't have time to teach children about our religion tell stories of Rama or Krishna. why we cannot change this mindset?
https://www.facebook.com/vallury.sarma/posts/496851080352310Yesterday I quoted a foreigner familiar with Indian traditions. Today I give his name.
He is Francis X. Clooney, S.J., Academic Director, Centre for Vaishnava and Hindu Studies, Professor, School of Divinity, Harvard University. S. J. stands for Society of Jesus, originally Company of Jesus established in 1534 which is a Christian male religious order of the Roman Catholic Church. The members are called Jesuits and are known colloquially as "God's Marines", because of founder Ignatius of Loyola's military background. Jesuits are known for their work in education and for their missionary efforts. Francis Xavier, one of the original companions of Loyola, arrived in Goa, in Portuguese India, in 1541. In a 1545 letter to John III of Portugal, he requested an Inquisition to be installed in Goa (Goa Inquisition) for spreading Christianity by inhuman means. His contribution for spread of his religion was rewarded by his sainthood of RC church.
Clooney succinctly summarizes Western interest in Hinduism. “Western curiosity about "the essence of Hinduism" simply mirrors Western curiosity about the essence of "Christianity" or of "religion" itself. Some scholars, particularly within the mission-oriented churches, wanted to understand the essence of other religions in order to compare and contrast them with the essence of Christianity. What one had defined and described could be handled properly. For instance, once the essence of Hinduism was discovered, it could be separated from the rest of "Indian culture," critiqued from various angles, and either purified or ultimately replaced with "the Christian religion."
P Mallikarjuna Rao Many of these organisations have a shady past. There are so many tales about Xavier and his miracles. I recall a parallel to this saint. When I visited Alampur in Kurnool district I was shocked to see a tomb built for a Pehalvan who killed many Hindus in that region. The premises of this darga encloses an old Hindu temple !Janaki Sistla Christian intentions r very clear. Understand ur religion. Adopt it in their own style. Almost all Christian churches in Andhra fully take advantage of Hindu views as most of the conversions are from Hindus. U can see it Rajasekhara Reddy family. They attract them with pecuniary supports as they get funds from abroad.
